Job Description
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
o Work in a team environment to coordinate the packing of customer and internal orders aligned to Shipping Transportation needs
o Communicate shipment requirements to team.
o Perform final accuracy check on shipping paperwork to prevent shipping errors.
o Process shipment paperwork using PeopleSoft.
o Work with carriers to schedule / modify pick-ups obtain shipment data file customs paperwork and resolve issues.
o Process small package shipments using UPS / FEDEX software.
o Work with Customer Service Planning and IT for shipment changes/issues.
o Review and coordinate movement of trailers between site building.
Applicant Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
Required:
Proficiency with MS Office programs (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook)
Experience with ERP based logistics/shipping transaction/software
Experience scheduling and working with 3rd party carrier logistics
Ability to certify for forklift box truck use.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities while working in an irregular work environment with changing priorities and multiple tasks.
Must have the ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
Devoted to plant safety culture and looks for ways to make the department a safer place to work.
Strong problem-solving skills that drill down to the root cause of an issue.
Flexibility with shift requirements as overtime will be required as needed.
Preferred:
Forklift Certified
PeopleSoft and/or SAP logistics/shipping experience
Previous warehouse experience involving pick/pack robotics systems.
Willing to act as a motivator and role model for the Shipping Department
This position is Monday Friday with a rotation of hours. Additional rotating weekend coverage to prep Monday shipments is required.
- Rotation #1: Start time at 5:30a (8 hours or until completion)
- Rotation #2: Start time at 6:45a (8 hours or until completion)
- Rotation #3: Start time of 8:00a (8 hours or until completion)
This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position however as a supplier your expected pay range may differ: ****/hour-****/hour.
