Job Description
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for acting as a coach/leader of warehouse associates and lead by example to inspire team mates to fulfill their individual daily tasks in addition to their own. The lead may have various responsibilities based on the specific department this can include but is not limited to shipping/receiving packaging inventory control general warehouse functions or material handling operators (i.e. forklift operators). The lead will provide backup to the supervisor as needed.

Pay rate: 5:45 to 2:15 Monday to Friday
Schedule: $27-$29/hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
- Responsible for tracking and analysis on all ongoing project in coordination with Warehouse Manager delegate tasks/share results with team
- Receiving and staging all materials for customer jobs at company-owned locations.
- Ensure appropriate procedures and standards are established and followed
- Examine materials to verify specifications required and stock materials in designated areas of the warehouse
- Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers and conduct Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and annual recertification training
- Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products or materials for distribution such as clamp/slip sheet equipment; load unload and store materials/products in designated areas
- Ensure product material handling procedures are followed model and train PPE Best Practices for team
- Serve as backup to other warehouse roles as needed
Qualifications :
- High School diploma or GED
- 3-4 years of team leadership experience preferably in a warehouse environment
- Experience in supporting supply chain demands
- Hi-lo/ Forklift license
