- Running the shift with hands-on cooking and food preparation intrinsic to the role
- Assist Head Chef and Senior Chef de Partie with menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies are available for expected service
- Maintain excellent presentation standards and cost control for all food and beverage outlets
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of programs to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchens
- Be a leader for the team by setting a positive example and supporting continuous learning and collaborative relationships
- Supervision of the shift in the absence of the Head Chef. Lead the junior kitchen team members to ensure service demands are met
Qualifications :
- Must have full Australian working rights and availability to work up to 30 hours per week on a rotating roster Monday to Sunday
- Previous experience in a similar role preferably within the hotel industry
- Relevant Trade Qualification and Food Safety qualification
- Excellent technical knowledge with experience in a variety of cooking techniques
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team
- Strong communication leadership and organisational skills
- Commitment to hygiene safety standards and food handling regulations
