Job Summary
Under the direction of a staff pharmacist and/or pharmacy leadership team follow established policies and procedures to perform a variety of highly advanced technical and clerical support tasks that are vital to the operation of the pharmacy department. Tasks include responsibilities of technical training compliance and participation in departmental projects and initiatives. This requires successful experience and documented performance in focused key activities.Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Associates Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Pharmacy Technician State License - Generic - HR Only preferred Pharmacy Technician Certification CPhT - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred
Experience
Pharmacy Technician experience 3-5 years preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Attention to detail.
- Proficient with standard PC software: Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint.
- Effective computer and keyboarding skills.
- Working knowledge of pharmacy information and inventory systems.
- Familiarity with pharmacy practice settings legal requirements and limitations prescription information and calculations drug identification and generic equivalents drug manufacturing packaging and labeling information and proper drug handling and storage practices.
- Ability to manage several priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
