  • Position Overview:
    Eastlake High School home of the Wolvesis seeking a dynamic and dedicatedCTE Teacher to teach AP Economics and Principles of Engineering (0.6 FTE Leave Replacement) for 2025-2026. The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative and supportive Career & Technical Education (CTE) department committed to student growth innovation and real-world learning. This position is ideal for an educator who values interdisciplinary connections and is passionate about preparing students for college and career success.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver rigorous and engaging instruction in AP Economics and Principles of Engineering in alignment with state and national CTE and AP standards.

    • Design lessons that foster critical thinking problem-solving and real-world application of economic and engineering principles.

    • Collaborate regularly with CTE and content-area colleagues to ensure alignment share resources and support interdisciplinary learning.

    • Assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessments; adjust instruction based on student needs.

    • Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student motivation and academic success.

    • Participate in professional learning communities curriculum planning and department meetings.

    • Support or demonstrate a willingness to learn about and assist with DECA a student organization focused on business marketing and entrepreneurship.

    Qualifications:

    • Washington State CTE certificate with CTE Technology Education endorsement or the ability to immediately obtain the certification.

    • Experience or interest in teaching AP-level coursework.

    • Experience in or enthusiasm for project-based and hands-on learning particularly within engineering or economics contexts.

    • Excellent collaboration communication and organizational skills.

    • Previous experience with DECA is preferred but not required; training and mentorship will be provided.

    • Desire to grow professionally and contribute positively to a vibrant school community.

    Salary:
    Paid per teacher salary schedule with Base contract plus additional contracts for LEAP days and Responsibility. Additional Technology stipend and Professional Fund. See LWEA salary schedule posted on website. Full benefit package available for employees working a minimum of 630 hours during the school year.
