Job Description

McLarty Associates isseeking a motivated resourceful highly organized individual for a 20 hours/week Fellow position to support the firms Energy & Critical Minerals Practice.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting research and analysis of energy & critical minerals related issues as well as economic political trade technology public policy international financial and business issues;
  • providing administrative support to the Senior Managing Director (coordinating and maintaining schedules completing expense reports event planning making travel arrangements etc.);
  • monitoring news outlets for relevant energy/critical minerals policy developments;
  • compiling biographies preparing presentations and client deliverables;
  • assisting firm-wide communications and collaborations;
  • attending and reporting on speeches panel discussions and policy forums of interest to the firm and clients;
  • other duties as assigned.

Ideal candidatesfor this position possess a broad understanding of international politics governance economics trade technology government relations business and entrepreneurship. Proficiency in one or more foreign languages is preferred as is experience or interest in energy and critical minerals issues. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.

We are seeking individuals who are:

  • currently enrolled in or who have recently completed a graduate-level degree program in a relevant subject area;
  • exceptionally organized with an independent and creative nature;
  • inclined to take initiative and anticipate the needs of the Senior Managing Director and the team;
  • attentive to details;
  • able to multi-task and complete tasks in a timely manner;
  • able to manage and adapt to changing priorities to remain poised under pressure and to juggle multiple projects at a time;
  • able to operate in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism mature judgment and confidentiality;
  • skilled communicators;
  • strong critical thinkers;
  • strong researchers and writers;
  • proficient with PowerPoint Excel Office 365 Adobe Acrobat and other business applications and media platforms.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington DC McLarty Associates is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the said market and considers a broad range of factors including but not limited to skill sets experience and training licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. The range does not include additional benefits outside of salary.

The hourly salary for this position is $18. This position is not benefits-eligible.
