About this opportunity:
The Senior Project Engineer will be primarily responsible for stewarding the overall plan for the West White Rose (WWR) Flowline & Brownfield Projects. This role plays a key part in budget stewardship and will lead interface coordination and action tracking across the project. The engineer will collaborate closely with all teams working with the projectSSDCI EPC contractors Finance/Cost CVE Procurement and others. This position supports the Project Teams overarching goal of implementing the WWR Flowline & Brownfield Projects in alignment with the Atlantic regions reservoir depletion plan.
This position is a full time permanent position located at our St. Johns office.
What youll do:
Support execution of West White Rose (WWR) Flowline & Brownfield Projects in alignment with the Cenovus SSDCI reservoir depletion plan
Coordinate with planning implementation Finance and Cost Management to secure funding and ensure project alignment
Support EPC estimate requests estimate reviews and the AFE/Long Range Plan process
Manage purchasing activities including cost tracking reporting and direct service procurements (e.g. fabric maintenance ICSS modifications)
Facilitate interface meetings with integrated parties and maintain the project action register
Contribute to project closeout activities
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Bachelor of Engineering
A member in good standing or eligible for registration with Professional Engineers and Geoscientist Newfoundland & Labrador (PEGNL)
Minimum 8 years of engineering experience in industrial settings; offshore oil and gas experience is considered an asset
Strong understanding of medium-scale project execution and EPC-contracted services; experience with Well Flowline Tie-ins is an asset
Completion of training required by the CAPP Standard Practice other regulatory bodies and the Cenovus Training Matrix

This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to pre-placement Fitness for Work assessments which includes drug and alcohol screening a medical and drivers abstract review.
