Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT
Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program) provides workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes. We work alongside Poche SANT focussing on Indigenous leadership capacity development and developing the Indigenous health workforce. All activities are driven by our values which focus on the long-term and short-term needs of the NT community.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Lecturer in Rural and Remote Mental Health to lead important initiatives aimed at improving mental health and wellbeing outcomes with a strong focus on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Northern Territory. In this role you will deliver high-quality teaching contribute to curriculum development and innovative learning approaches and support student placements. You will also contribute to research activities and play a key role in building and maintaining partnerships that strengthen the Universitys teaching and research impact.
About You
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
An understanding of the nexus between teaching and learning research and scholarship
A significant track record and demonstrated evidence of successful relevant teaching experience at tertiary level including responsibility for topic coordination course coordination and curriculum design
Experience providing leadership in curriculum reviews and internal and external accreditation activities
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills including the demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships with staff students and industry nationally and/or internationally.
Understanding of rural and remote workforce and Indigenous health policies and priorities emerging issues experience in working with rural or remote location
