What Youll Do
Provide daily care for a variety of animal species including feeding cleaning enrichment and monitoring health and behavior.
Participate in animal training and behavioral husbandry to support welfare and cooperative care.
Maintain accurate records of animal observations treatments and daily activities using the parks management software.
Assist with the preparation and implementation of enrichment programs that stimulate natural behaviors and promote mental well-being.
Support and participate in conservation breeding and research initiatives as directed by the Care Team.
Collaborate closely with the veterinary team by assisting with medical exams treatments and implementing health protocols.
Maintain clean safe and organized animal habitats and workspaces.
Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
What You Bring
A combination of formal education (e.g. degree or coursework in zoology biology animal science or related field) and hands-on experience working with exotic or domestic animals in a zoological aquarium sanctuary or equivalent setting that demonstrates the necessary skills for this position
Excellent public speaking and customer service skills
Desire to grow as a team member animal keeper and human being
Ability to stand or walk and be able to perform physical work outside in all weather conditions
Ability to bend stoop and lift 50-75 pounds when necessary
Ability to work long hours weekend weekdays holidays and everyday

Starting hourly rate of $15.00/hr with pay modifiers for training experience and/or keeper experience
