The Uxbridge Public Schools seeks a creative educator to support English Language learners in grades K-7. This position is anticipated to provide support at the Taft ELC and Whitin Intermediate schools in Uxbridge. This person provides direct service to students consults with other professionals consults and discusses issues with parents plans delivers and evaluates instructional outcomes and conducts the research needed to perform the essential functions of the position. Consultation with parents other professionals and agencies may take place outside of the research plans and delivers instruction using the most efficient and effective methodology for the students assessments that are research based and appropriate for the students assigned including screening of newly enrolled students consultations with educational teams and providing support for any state or federally mandated corrective feedback to students and re-teaches as necessary to ensure that the student has mastered the research reads professional literature reflects in the subject area of the with parents colleagues and other school professionals regarding student progress outcomes and the approved course modifications in a students education plan that is required by an IEP or Regular Education Modification with other school staff as necessary to complete the functions of the written reports and assigned administrative tasks related to these preventive discipline methodology with assigned OF WORK:Writes curriculum for assigned assessments corrects student work and confers with students on the lesson student records as required by school in TEAM meetings as referrals as may be necessary to complete the essential functions of the as a team member in the role as a school-based educator and as part of a growing district-wide department with other teachers of English Language position is considered a district-wide assignment and reports to the Director of Pupil Personnel :Bachelors Degree and MA certification in assigned area. Must be licensed with the appropriate Massachusetts DESE category.
