    QUALIFICATIONS
    1. High School Diploma or equivalent
    2. Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred.
    3. Experience in financial data or accounting and grant writing and management preferred
    4. Two to three years of experience in an office with considerable public contact or an equivalent combination of experience education and/or training that demonstrates desired knowledge skills and abilities
    5. Working knowledge of computer word-processing and Microsoft Office applications and Google.
    6. Knowledge skill and or experience in the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) strategies or be willing to receive training in those strategies
    7. Ability to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

    2. Ability to complete computational tasks.
    3. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
    4. Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.

    8. Ability to operate computer equipment for email communications word processing data management and other assigned tasks as related to the position.

    11. Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff students parents and community members.
    12. Utilize with fidelity the District Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program at the building level.
    13. Ability to understand and maintain students and parents rights to confidentiality and not violate those rights; nor discuss students in inappropriate places or with anyone not in direct contact with such individual students.
    14. Ensure information obtained through the course of duties associated with this position is held in the highest of confidentiality.
    15. Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws district procedures and Board policies including mandatory reporting procedures.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. Ensure district-wide compliance of ESS regulatory requirements described in the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) Guide Steps and the provisions of a free appropriate public education.
    2. Analyze reports in the Districts adopted Special Education Program software and provide MET and Individualized Education Plans support to special education teachers and related service providers to ensure compliance.
    3. Prepare ESS files for state and federal audits as required.
    4. Prepare grant applications for all ESS-related federal state and local projects authorized by the Superintendent ensuring fund allocations are documented in the correct categories.
    5. Conduct relevant research and gather data for various state and federal grants.
    6. Collaborate with all stakeholders and ADE to ensure grants are submitted accurately and with fidelity.
    7. Stay current on new or changing federal or state grant programs and ADE regulations as they relate to department grants.
    8. Prepare grant budget revisions with appropriate coding narrative and completeness as needed per ESS department requirements and/or ADE directives.
    9. Monitor fiscal documentation between software systems and various program reports.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to reach with hands and arms sit stand walk stoop and bend as necessary. The employee maylift carry push pull or otherwise move objects weighing a minimum of 10 pounds and could occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. The employee will read correspondence and computer screens and use the telephone.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    Indoor office environment. This position regularly works indoors. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have substantial contact with parents students staff and the public.

    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
    The ESS Compliance Monitor/Grants Management reports to the Director of Exceptional Student Services. The ESS Compliance Monitor/Grants Management will interact cooperatively with all other staff positions. All elements of good human relations will be practiced.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
    INITIAL WAGE PLACEMENT PLAN: Starting at $15.85 per hour
    WORK YEAR: 12 Months/8 hours
