Position Title: Dentist
Pay rate :$78.00/Hr
Shift hours: Mon-Fri8:30AM - 5:00PM
Client: SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (Pee Dee Regional Center)
Job Responsibilities
- Under limited supervision of the Facility Administrator oversees the provision of all dental services at the Pee Dee Regional Center.
- Administers clinical dental services to the residents of the Pee Dee Regional Center.
- Clinical services included but are not limited to examinations prophylaxis treatments scaling and root planing and minor surgical interventions when appropriate.
- Responsible for administrative services necessary to sustain an ongoing comprehensive dental services operation.
- Responsible for development and maintenance of efficient scheduling of dental activities for Pee Dee Regional Center residents.
- Supervises and provides management support for all professional and para-professional personnel in the dental department.
- Develops maintains and promotes an ongoing dental prophylaxis program. Promotes good oral hygiene of residents through comprehensive oral hygiene educational programs to consumers.
- Orders necessary dental equipment and maintains the DPH requirements for radiology autoclave and nitrous.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited dental school with dental experience.
- Licensed to practice dentistry in South Carolina.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of theory principles and practices of dentistry and current developments in the field of dentistry.
- Knowledge of recent developments and pertinent federal and state laws rules and regulations in dentistry.
- Skilled in all aspects of dentistry to include operative crown and bridge prosthetics and periodontics.
- Ability to apply improved techniques and procedures in all phases of dentistry. Ability to communicate effectively.
