CityScapeWhat youll do:
The Enterprise and Operational Risk Management Group (ERM/ORM) is the second line of defense (SLOD) function responsible for leading the strategy and execution of the Banks Enterprise and Operational Risk Management Framework. The ORM team develops and implements programs to identify measure mitigate and monitor the banks operational risk.The ERM RCSA (Risk and Control Self-Assessment) Risk Analyst will play a key role in establishing ORM programs with a focus on the RCSA which is an industry standard across all large financial institutions and assist in maturing the methodology and standards. This position will report directly to the ERM RCSA Manager. The position will require establishing strong partnerships and collaboration with all Business Units across the company to appropriately identify rate and manage risks and controls.
- Provide guidance to Business Units on development of effective controls to mitigate key risks.
- Perform effective challenge to risk and control owners on documenting material risks and key controls as well as assessment results via the RCSA process.
- Collaborate and coordinate with subject matter experts across the FLOD and SLOD to ensure risk assessments are completed on-time and challenged appropriately.
- Foster relationships and collaborate with teams across the organization.
What youll need:
- Bachelors degree in related field (i.e. financial services industry)
- Demonstrated interest in the financial services industry
- Self-starter: ability to work with little direction or oversight
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail; with the ability to multitask
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; both independently as well as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Excel PowerPoint and data visualization tools
