This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment including recruiting hiring placement promotion termination layoff recall transfer leaves of absence compensation and training.
The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $33 to $40 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location education experience knowledge and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will Do in This Role
- Perform repair and maintenance on Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belt tracking component adjustment/replacement and lubrication.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines documentation and procedures.
- Apply electrical test equipment for diagnosing and repairing electrical circuitry.
- Build and close work orders in the asset management system accurately detailing labor hours equipment maintenance and parts used.
- Address conveyance problems determining and implementing the necessary resources to resolve them.
- Manage and coordinate spare parts inventory.
- Conduct sophisticated maintenance and equipment testing to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Support customer training initiatives ensuring they can operate equipment efficiently.
- Respond promptly to service calls addressing equipment failures and faults effectively.
- Identify and resolve problems proactively as they arise.
What We Are Looking For
- High School diploma or equivalent experience required; an Associates degree or vocational technical training is beneficial. Certification in niche skills is preferred.
- A senior-level knowledge base with 5-7 years of experience in a technical or specialty area.
- Proven experience and successful demonstration of responsibilities and key tasks listed above.
- Strong customer-facing skills with professional communication abilities both via email and in-person with onsite customer leadership Dematic leadership and technicians.
- Leadership capabilities in managing projects teams and advising on day-to-day operations and tasks.
- Physical capability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Regular engagement in physical activities such as bending lifting stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
- Ability to push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Capacity to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
- Adaptability to working conditions including small spaces dust fumes/odors varying temperatures noise vibration standing on concrete for extended periods and wet or uneven surfaces.
- Strong background in PLC and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
