Pharmacist

Location: Oaks Hospital Colchester
Contract Type: Permanent Part-Time (22.5 hours)

Join our dedicated team at Oaks Hospital and make a difference in patient care.
We are currently seeking a motivated and GPhC-registered Pharmacist to join our friendly and professional team supporting medication management across all clinical departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out medicines reconciliation and screening of drug charts on the ward.
  • Counsel patients on TTOs (To Take Outs) and medication changes to ensure safe discharge and full understanding.
  • Provide accurate and evidence-based medicines information responding to clinical queries from healthcare professionals.
  • Aid and support the hospitals antimicrobial stewardship programme.
  • Carry out regular audits to maintain high standards of medication safety and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider clinical team to promote safe effective and personalised patient care.

What Youll Bring:

  • GPhC registration as a qualified pharmacist is essential.
  • Previous hospital experience is desirable but not essential full training and development are available.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive patient-focused approach with a passion for clinical pharmacy.
