What youll be doing
As a member of CIBCs Global Derivatives Technology (Capital Markets Technology) team you will be responsible for providing advice and consultation for business application developments to ensure growth. The role provides technical leadership interpreting complex information and participating in client business review sessions to influence decisions regarding the use of technology to support objectives. The Senior Consultant Business Systems Analysis analyzes investigates recommends and facilitates activities required for the application of new technologies to support existing processes and client needs. The role provides expertise to project managers coordinators and directors on technology functionality and utilization utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics. The role independently resolves a variety of ambiguous challenges with organization-wide impacts devising new methods using strong analytic and inductive thinking.

How youll succeed
- Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Build strong relationships lead discussions listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements. GDT has built a cross-asset risk and P&L management platform supporting Interest Rates Foreign Exchange Equity and Commodity asset classes on variety of OTC products. And This role will have the opportunity to work with different desks and users learn and build upon a very established system.
- Solution Design - Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification solution requirements and quality assurance.
- Leading and Mentoring Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational operational and process problems.
Who you are
- You can demonstrate experience with 5 years in a BSA role with 2-3 years of Capital markets technology experience and knowledge. Proven ability to elicit requirements and write strong documentation. Excellent abilities to manage stakeholders investigate problems and having strong communication skills is a must. Proficient with MS SQL Excel pivot tables Visio and other Microsoft office applications. Its an asset if you have 2 years of working in an Agile environment with experience using Confluence/Jira. Understanding and experience working with of Databricks and how to work with APIs JSON and Python. Knowledge and understanding of Trade Life Cycle and OTC product knowledge. Regulatory trade reporting understanding and experience.
