Job Description

Grade 1-5 STEM & Technology TeacherSaint Mary School in Shrewsbury is seeking a qualified classroom teacher with prior STEM & technology teaching experience to join our school community which provides a challenging and supportive learning environment for our students. The ideal candidate will be a creative energetic and compassionate educator who serves as a positive role model of Catholic values and :Bachelors degree is required at a minimumValid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certificationPrior experience as an elementary school teacher preferably previous Catholic school experience Professional Responsibilities:The successful candidate will:Prepare meaningful and data driven lessons for students in STEM & TechnologySupport and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the schoolWork under the general supervision of the Principal and Assistant PrincipalUse effective varied and engaging instructional methods and strategiesDevelop students skills in literature composition grammar vocabulary presentation and critical thinkingMotivate and engage students as active participants in the learning processDifferentiate instruction to meet each students unique learning needsPossess exceptional classroom management skillsCreate a classroom culture of kindness and respect with high expectations for learningDemonstrate strong organizational communication and interpersonal skillsIntegrate technology into classroom instruction including Google ClassroomCollaborate with other teachers of the Elementary Team to support students and enhance instruction Communicate with parents regarding academic behavioral and safety concernsDemonstrate professionalism in conduct demeanor and work habitsPerform additional duties and responsibilities as outlined by the Principal
