Complete initial assessment on all people entering Fraser Ltd. within lQ days of admission and submit report prior to scheduled initial program planning meeting.
Annually reassess nutritional status of people on modified diets Review peoples modified diets as designated on the Overall Service Plan. Meet with people on modified diets to discuss changes when c:hanges or meet and document these meetings.
Responsibilities to Facility
Evaluates quality and nutritional adequacy of meals service both normal and modified diets; suggests improvements when needed. Assists with menu planning. both normal and modified. Two months advance approval of spring/summer and fall/winter menus is required. (Signature on all menus).
Evaluates and guides functioning of Dietary Department including personnel management purchasing food production and service sanitation and safety etc.
Assists with development of needed written materials such as job descriptions policies and procedures dietary related forms etc.
Makes available selected educational materials related to services provided.
Plans organizes and conducts orientation and in-service for dietary personnel. Inservice education will be held a minimum of annually to include all personnel involved in food service.
Consults as needed with Administrator Director of Nursing and Food Service Supervisor consults as appropriate with medical nursing and other staff on dietary matters. Maintains effective verbal and written communications and public relations.
Provides individual dietary care and consultation as special problems are raised by the staff or are noted in random observation or interviews with people receiving service.
Assesses develops implements and evaluates nutritional assessments arid provides for follow-up including written reports. Consults and counsels people regarding selection and procurement of food to meet optimal nutrition. Consults with the health care team concerning nutritional care of person.
Provides written summary after completion of months consultation activities.
Part-Time
