Summary:
Lead structured RCCA investigations related to FAA Letters of Investigation Compliance Actions Voluntary Disclosures Self-Audit findings and Part 25 Airworthiness Non-Compliances.
Collaborate with engineering disciplines (Systems Structures Payloads Propulsion) to define problem statements analyze systemic root causes and develop corrective and preventative actions.
Ensure alignment with internal stakeholders including Boeing functional teams executives and suppliers.
Work closely with the Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA) to ensure investigation documentation meets regulatory standards.
Drive continuous improvement of tools and processes across BCA and the broader Boeing Enterprise.
Communicate complex technical findings to diverse audiences including executive leadership and regulatory agencies.
Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams applying airplane-level systems thinking to safety and compliance challenges.
Requirements:
Bachelors Masters or Doctorate degree in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry from an accredited program.
1 years of related engineering experience or equivalent education/experience.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Initiative and leadership in managing cross-functional projects.
Ability to take ownership and deliver accurate efficient and timely results.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Skills:
5 years of related experience; 9 years highly preferred.
Hands-on experience with RCCA methodologies (5-Whys Fishbone BPSM).
Familiarity with FAA regulations compliance practices and ODA procedures (FAA Order 8100.15).
Experience with commercial airplane operations safety requirements and certification procedures.
Background in systems design or integration (e.g. Flight Controls Hydraulics Avionics Fuels).
Experience working with FAA or other regulatory authorities.
Pilots license or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification.
