Job Description
Overview:
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and development of industrial plastics processing and custom machinery. Ideal for someone hands-on with strong 3D modeling skills and experience in a manufacturing or equipment-building environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
- Create 3D models and detailed drawings for manufacturing
- Manage files using PDM software
- Collaborate with production machining and electrical teams
- Support fabrication testing and assembly
- Contribute to product improvements and custom builds
Must-Haves:
- 2 years of mechanical design experience
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM tools
- Knowledge of machining fabrication and tolerancing
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to Haves:
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience with custom machinery or plastics processing equipment
- Familiarity with mechanical systems (pneumatics gears bearings)
