Job Description
Job Title: Data Scientist - Fraud Strategy Practice
Location: Malvern PA / Charlotte NC / Dallas TX
Type: Full-Time
Overview:
Were seeking a Data Scientist to help build and optimize fraud detection strategies for one of our clients in the financial services sector. This role is a mix of hands-on data science and business analysis requiring strong fraud domain knowledge and technical proficiency.
What Youll Do:
- Develop and refine fraud rules in ThreatMetrix / LexisNexis
- Monitor fraud trends and strategy KPIs (detection/prevention/false positives)
- Conduct root cause analysis for fraud incidents
- Visualize fraud patterns and strategy impact via dashboards (Power BI Tableau)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective prevention strategies
What Were Looking For:
- 4 years in fraud analytics in retail banking or card domains
- Expertise in SQL Python and statistical modeling
- Familiarity with ThreatMetrix LexisNexis or similar rule-based platforms
- Experience with big data tools like Hive Spark; SageMaker is a plus
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
