Job Description
Role: Sr. Core JAVA Developer- Fixed income & front office
Location: New York City NY (HYBRID)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Experience Required: 10 Years
Job Summary:We are seeking a Senior Core Java Developer with deep expertise in Fixed Income trading systems and Front Office development. You will play a key role in developing and enhancing high-performance low-latency trading applications and services. This role requires strong experience in multithreaded core Java development solid understanding of capital markets and the ability to work in a fast-paced trading floor environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Design develop and maintain core Java applications used in Fixed Income trading and Front Office systems.
- Collaborate directly with traders quants and business analysts to gather requirements and deliver rapid solutions.
- Implement and optimize low-latency high-throughput trading services.
- Build scalable APIs and services to interface with internal and external systems.
- Troubleshoot debug and resolve real-time production issues in live trading environments.
- Participate in code reviews architecture discussions and performance tuning initiatives.
- Maintain unit and integration tests to ensure quality and stability.
- 10 years of experience in Core Java development.
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Multithreading Concurrency Collections and Memory Management
- Spring Boot RESTful APIs and Microservices
- Messaging frameworks (e.g. Kafka RabbitMQ JMS)
- Solid knowledge of Fixed Income instruments (Bonds CDS Treasuries) and Front Office trading workflows
- Good understanding of market data pricing engines and order management systems (OMS)
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Prior experience in a low-latency real-time trading environment
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with FIX protocol Bloomberg Tradeweb or MarketAxess integrations
- Exposure to cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) in financial systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools Docker or Kubernetes
