Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and examinations of patients.
- Diagnose gastroenterological conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform endoscopic procedures including EGD colonoscopy and other diagnostic interventions.
- Develop and manage patient management protocols to provide tailored treatment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to clinical governance.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in gastroenterology.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.
- Lead and mentor junior medical staff and trainees.
- Provide emergency care as required in clinical settings.
- Engage in community outreach programs to raise awareness about gastrointestinal health.
- Contribute to research initiatives and clinical trials in gastroenterology.
- Uphold the highest standards of medical ethics and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- DM/DNB in Gastroenterology from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in gastroenterology.
- Proven expertise in performing endoscopic procedures.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnosis skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage complex and varied patient cases.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Proficiency in maintaining electronic health records.
- Experience in mentoring and training medical staff.
- Familiarity with clinical research methodologies.
- Membership in relevant professional organizations is an advantage.
- Fluency in local languages is preferable.
