We are seeking a results-driven and technically proficient Chemical Engineer to join our client s operations in the manufacturing or process industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing optimizing and overseeing chemical processes and equipment used in manufacturing. This role involves applying principles of chemistry physics and engineering to ensure safety quality and cost-effectiveness in the production of chemicals fuels pharmaceuticals food and other products.
Design and develop chemical manufacturing processes including instrumentation and control systems.
Conduct process simulations and scale-up from lab to pilot to full production.
Optimize production techniques to improve efficiency safety and quality.
Troubleshoot process issues perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Evaluate materials and chemicals used in processes to ensure compatibility and efficiency.
Monitor equipment and processes to maintain safe operating conditions.
Collaborate with R&D QA/QC production and maintenance teams for smooth plant operations.
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations (e.g. OSHA EPA).
Prepare technical reports operating instructions and documentation for process standards.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects.
Bachelor s degree in Chemical Engineering (B.E/) is mandatory; Master s degree (M.E/) is an added advantage.
Minimum 3 years of experience in chemical/process industries (pharma petrochemical fertilizer FMCG etc.).
Valid certifications in process safety or chemical handling are preferred.
Strong knowledge of chemical process design thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
Experience with process simulation tools like Aspen Plus HYSYS ChemCAD or equivalent.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting PFDs P&IDs and equipment specifications.
Analytical and problem-solving skills for process troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of safety standards risk assessment and HAZOP studies.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
