Job Description
Job Title: CNC Turning Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Turning Supervisor to oversee and manage daily operations of CNC turning machines in our precision machining department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising the production team optimizing machine efficiency maintaining quality standards and ensuring smooth workflow across all turning operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of CNC machine operators and ensure efficient shift-wise operations.
Review job orders and prioritize work based on delivery schedules.
Set up program and troubleshoot CNC turning machines when required.
Monitor machine outputs and ensure components meet quality and dimensional standards.
Conduct regular maintenance checks and coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive maintenance.
Provide technical guidance and training to CNC operators and junior machinists.
Maintain production logs downtime records and quality inspection reports.
Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce cycle time.
Coordinate with the quality control and planning departments to ensure workflow alignment.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and 5S workplace organization standards.
Essential Qualifications:
Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering Tool & Die Making or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC turning with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of G-code M-code tool offsets and CNC program editing.
Familiarity with CNC machines from brands such as Fanuc Siemens Haas or similar.
Skills Required:
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Strong knowledge of machining processes tolerances and surface finish requirements.
Excellent leadership coordination and team management abilities.
Experience with measurement tools like micrometers vernier calipers bore gauges etc.
Basic computer knowledge for report generation and machine monitoring tools.
