Job Description
Austrade is looking for a Solution Developer to develop and enhance its digital services as part of its digital transformation program. The program delivers and enhances services using cloud platforms such as Office 365 Azure iPaaS Dynamics 365 and bespoke web apps.
The successful candidate will be working within a multi-disciplinary team using agile principles and practices to deliver client-centred solutions including other developers and architects to build technical capability to a high standard using agile delivery and DevOps principles.
Requirements
Key duties and responsibilities
This role will be responsible for:
- Undertaking software development in the following:
- Bespoke web app (MVC Web API Entity Framework).
- Upgrading the web application to use latest technologies and features and other security upgrades including implementing MFA
- Maintaining CI/CD build and release pipelines in Azure DevOps/Git.
- Performing systems analysis investigating technical problems and working with relevant team members to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
- Working closely with the platform architect BAs testers and other developers to design and deliver high quality extensible and maintainable systems in line with robust SDLC practices and to deadlines.
- Contributing to capability uplift in technical skill-sets and process improvements.
Essential criteria 1. A track record of delivering technology products in large organisations 2. A demonstrated understanding of what makes for a great developer experience for external users 3. Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams that follow agile and user-centred design practices 4. Experience working on large Government transformation programs highly regarded Desirable criteria 1. Knowledge, experience of, and relationships with the agriculture technology industry 2. Delivery of technology to support regulatory decision-making processes 3. Experience delivering to the Australian Government Digital Service Standard
