Job Description
- Prepare and cook daily lunch specials.
- Perform daily food inventories and set preparation quantities.
- Prepare meals for residents providing high quality dining service that takes into account resident preferences and special dietary requirements in compliance with applicable food and sanitation regulations.
- Assist in the production of all menu items.
- Demonstrate safe food handling procedures with special emphasis on critical control.
- Maintain consistently high cleanliness of work and storage areas.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of two years of cooking experience in breakfast and lunch.
- Perform daily food inventory and set preparation quantities.
- Experience in production cooking and/or preparing therapeutic diets is preferred.
- You need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
- You have and/or are willing to obtain the necessary food handling and sanitation licenses
- You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- You can maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward the residents and your co-workers.
