Job Description
Assist the department managers in the overall operation of the department by completing assigned duties and by serving in the capacity of the department manager in his/her absence of the manager.
Job Functions
- Train and supervise employees. Use verbal and written communication between departments and co-workers.
- Monitor performance to ensure adequate cleanliness and stock level of guest rooms.
- Physically inspect guest rooms.
- Assist with establishing department guidelines rules and regulations and training programs.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns.
- Prepare requisitions reports correspondence and forms relative to the operations of the department.
- Operate vacuum cleaners and shampoo machines.
- Clean and dust including closest shelves picture frames mirrors tubs and showers.
- Lead special projects as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Two (2) years of related supervisory training or work experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable about proper housekeeping techniques implements and handling of chemicals.
- Must have excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to perform all duties of a Guest Room Attendant including but not limited to: vacuuming changing linens sweeping mopping dusting etc.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be computer literate.
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.
