The Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning coordination and execution of research and registry-based initiatives within the Translational Research and CoRDS programs. This role oversees cross-functional project teams manages timelines and resources ensures regulatory compliance and contributes to strategic planning. The Project Manager is expected to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget while maintaining effective communication and documentation across all project stakeholders.Job Description
The Project Manager for Translational Research and Registry Programs is responsible for leading planning and executing complex research initiatives across internal teams and external collaborators. This role oversees all aspects of project management including creating detailed project plans and schedules tracking deliverables timelines budgets and ensuring all milestones are met within scope.
The Project Manager serves as the primary contact for IRB submissions regulatory compliance and cross-functional communication. They manage internal and external resources facilitate risk assessments escalate project issues as needed interact with research subjects and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities include maintaining comprehensive documentation supporting the coordination of EHR-derived data access and mentoring Associate Project Managers and Research Coordinators.
The Project Manager contributes to strategic event planning and logistics for symposia and outreach activities and is instrumental in supporting billing budget tracking and continuous process improvement.
The role requires strong collaboration with faculty research personnel and third-party vendors to ensure efficient project delivery and regulatory alignment.
This individual should have a bachelors degree in Life Sciences Health Sciences or a related field (masters preferred) and at least three years of experience in research project management.
Certification through ACRP or SOCRA is preferred or required within two years of hire.
The ideal candidate is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Visio and Microsoft Project with experience using REDCap or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Candidates should also be comfortable developing and managing tracking systems and performance metrics and possess strong problem-solving critical thinking and communication skillsincluding the ability to interact with patients and research participants.
Flexibility adaptability and a self-starter mindset are essential as is the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Occasional travel is required for meetings events or site visits.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelors degree in health services life sciences biomedical sciences nursing or clinical field required. Masters degree in public health health care business or science related fields is preferred.Sanford is an EEO/AA Employer M/F/Disability/Vet.
