Exercise PhysiologistJob Responsibilities:
- Develops exercise prescription and risk factor modification by incorporating comorbidity and musculoskeletal disorders per established program (ACCVPR ACSM ATS ACC NASM) standards and guidelines as evidenced by random chart review.
- Reviews Individual Treatment Plans.
- Develops exercise and strength training programs patient education and behavioral health support specific to each patient to achieve optimal outcomes for each patient.
- Demonstrates proper instruction and technique for performing appropriate exercise and strength training as needed to ensure patient safety and adherence to exercise prescription as evidenced by direct observation.
- Immediately reports significant changes in patient clinical status to appropriate members of healthcare team and assists with emergency care according to department policy as evidenced by direct observation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education:Bachelors Degree Exercise Physiology Exercise Science Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology.
- License:American College of Sports Medicine - Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM CEP) required upon start for Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab Programs OR American Association of Cardiovascular and pulmonary Rehabilitation - Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (AACVPR CCRP) OR an equivalent advanced certification based on other hiring department
- Experience:
- Certification:BLS through the American Heart Association within 6 months
