Job Description
St. Joseph Catholic School is seeking a candidate to hire for a part-time custodian position. This position will primarily be an afternoon/evening position with some weekend work required for special events.
Essential Functions & Duties Include:
- Ensure all areas are very clean and kept in proper order.
- Clean individual classrooms including vacuuming sweeping and mopping.
- Follow maintenance/custodial checklist for daily duties.
- Address staff and student needs and issues as they arise.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements Include:
- 1 years of experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. or more (furniture ladders etc.)
- Ability to perform simple grasping pushing and pulling
- Ability to communicate with staff in a professional manner
- Constant stooping bending reaching and squatting are required
- A background check and a seminar for Protecting Gods Children (VIRTUS training) are required upon acceptance of this position.
