Job Description
AWS Cloud Engineer
- AWS Cloud Engineer
- Exeter Devon (Hybrid-working - minimum of 2 days in the office meaning you must be based locally)
- Market Rates
- Pension Bonus Life Insurance Healthcare etc.
Skills and Experience:
- Highly skilled using Python this is an essential requirement
- Be an advocate of infrastructure as code (IAC) and cloud best practices
- Excellent familiarity of AWS services such as S3 Lambda Glue Aurora Kinesis etc.
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker K8 Helm)
- Familiarity with different approaches to ETL processes both in an out of AWS
- Experience managing and optimising databases and performant SQL
- Expertise in designing and building highly efficient scalable systems
- Experience monitoring and managing production environments in AWS
- Experience of using Git IAC and CI/CD practices
- Familiarity with the MS Azure data warehousing ecosystem
- Familiarity with Java would be beneficial (not essential)
- Familiarity with agile processes in Jira is very desirable

My client based in the sustainability sector are currently on the lookout for an AWS Cloud Engineer on a permanent basis.
This role involves development modernisation and optimisation of high-performance systems designing and implementing robust solutions and ensuring seamless integration within my clients AWS-based infrastructure.
To be successful candidates will have experience with AWS services be well-versed in modern software architecture best practices and have a strong understanding of scalable and efficient system design.
