We are looking for a full-time (40 hours/week) in office candidate. Remote work is not available at this time.

What youd do in this role:
The Insurance Specialist will be responsible for submitting prior authorization requests as needed by the insurance companies to ensure that our patients are authorized to be able to obtain the therapy they need.
Essential Functions:
Submit review and receive authorizations using insurance company portals
Streamline the process of requesting retrieving and tracking prior authorizations (date/# of visits)
Communicate with the front office billing team and therapists surrounding prior authorizations
Send/receive physician order forms and patient Plan of Cares
Occasionally verify insurance for all new patients by phone or online portals
Cross-train for the duties in the Accounting office Hat Packs.
Create and Maintain clear processes for Insurance Specialist procedures. Make sure all procedures are written in a Google Document loaded onto the company Google Drive and added to the positions Hat Pack.
Take initiative to problem solve and report the progress to the Income Manager.
Build positive working relationships with other MPT staff all insurance representatives (both commercial and Medicaid MCOs) MCO state liaisons Managers in the Cabinet of Health and Family Services and Department of Insurance investigators.
Get all changes to any insurance verification prior authorization or PO process approved by the Income Manager and Intake Coordinator.
