Job Description
Responsibilities:Assists in the design implementation and evaluation of the Center for Academic Excellence programs. Manages and executes all advising and transition events that fall under the Center for Academic Excellence including New Cru Orientation. Collaborates with campus leadership to ensure full participation of key units across campus. Formulates individual academic coaching plans for assigned students designed to help students navigate academic issues and transition to college. Selects administers and interprets appropriate assessment instruments. Designs implements and monitors the selection training scheduling and evaluation of Orientation Leaders. Provides academic advising to assigned segments of the student population including reviewing degree requirements and assisting in the student registration process.
- Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the Universitys mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
- A Bachelors degree from an accredited university is required
- A minimum of two (2) years experience in student activities to include teaching mentoring high school or college students or leading student events is required. Experience in an institution of higher education is strongly preferred.
- Basic competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing database spreadsheet e-mail presentation graphics etc.) is required.
- Proficiency in general office equipment operation is required.
- Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
- Must agree to the Universitys Employee Statement of Understanding
