Primary Responsibilities
Position Overview: Sul Ross State University an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Lone Star Conference seeks a motivated and committed Assistant Volleyball Coach to support the development and success of its volleyball program. The Assistant Coach plays a key role in recruiting training academic monitoring and day-to-day team operations. Function: Assist in coaching volleyball schedule games practice and conditioning. Primary Responsibilities: Support the Head Coach in all aspects of coaching. This includes planning practices game strategies and player development. Assist with identifying and recruiting prospective student-athletes who align with the colleges academic and athletic standards. Maintain a strong understanding of NCAA Division II rules and ensure program compliance. Monitor academic progress of student-athletes and support their overall development. Assist with travel arrangements game film breakdown stat analysis and equipment management. Serve as a role model for student-athletes in behavior sportsmanship and leadership. Represent the volleyball program at department functions community outreach fundraising and camps. Working Conditions Usual: Position is Security Sensitive. Any qualifications to be considered in lieu of stated minimums require the prior approval of the Human Resources Director.
