We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Machine Shop Operator to join our growing team.
What Youll Be Responsible For:
- Operate CNC Lathes and Machining Centres plus some conventional machines as requested and ensure cycle times and outputs are achieved to the correct quality standard Report failings.
- Complete detailed quality checks against issued dimensional drawings using measuring equipment verniers micrometers and gauges etc and record measurements on the relevant check sheets.
- Recognise identify and report all quality defects and equipment failures.
- Ensure all completed work is sent to the stores with any empty trays for that particular part daily for booking in.
- Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with any work instructions / procedures.
- Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed as required.
- Maintain good communications and relationships throughout the company.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean safe working environment and good housekeeping standards and ensure 5S standards are maintained.
For this role we would need you to demonstrate:
- Previous experience working with CNC machinery (essential).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Knowledge of safe brass handling practices preferred.
