CoreResponsibilities
StudentAchievement and Success:
- Ensurehigh academic standards are set for and met by all students.
- Developand execute a rigorous standards-based curriculum through collaboration withgeneral education teachers.
- Differentiatecurriculum instruction and individualized education plans to meet individualstudent needs.
- Usestudent performance data derived from teacher-created and standardizedassessments to drive instructional decision-making.
- Designand implement high quality IEPs that effectively catalog student needs withclear objectives and outcomes in a timely manner.
- Effectivelyuse various co-teaching models to deliver high quality instruction to studentswith disabilities in the least restrictive environment.
Commitmentto School and Classroom Culture:
- Createa classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to thematurity and interest of the students.
- Developpositive relationships with students.
- Developclassroom rules for behavior that are consistent with the school wide rules andAcero Student Code of Conduct.
- Developpositive relationships with parents for the purpose of creating a support forstudents and their education program; execute assigned home visits tofacilitate this process.

Qualifications
Physical Demands
The nature of the work requires an ability to operatestandard business office equipment and the ability to communicate and exchangeinformation collect compile and prepare work documents set-up and maintainwork files. Physical demands include the ability to stand bend reach high andlow stoop and walk around the classroom 60% of the day. In additioncandidates must be able to lift and/or push and pull 15 to 20lbs. for shortperiods of time and walk up and down stairs several times a day.
WorkingConditions
Majorityof work is performed in a general office requiresavailability for extended hours plus non-traditional hours required to performjob requires participation and attendance atorganization sponsored events and meetings.
