SASE/Zscaler Engineer
Duration: 6 Months possibility to extend
Contract Designation: 3 days onsite. NYC preferred but also open to Lake Mary FL & Pittsburgh PA.
Pay $70 to 75/hr
Implementing Zscaler and other SASE technology.
Position overview
In this role the engineer will be instrumental in deploying managing and optimizing Zscalers suite of security solutions to fortify our enterprise clients defenses
- Implement configure and manage Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) solutions for enterprise clients
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues related to Zscaler services
- Conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and corporate policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Zscaler services with existing infrastructure
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Zscaler products and services to recommend upgrades and enhancements
- Provide training and support to IT teams and end-users for best practices on Zscaler platforms
- Develop documentation on configuration troubleshooting procedures and operational guidelines
- Participate in emergency response teams to handle security incidents and provide post-mortem analysis
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Zscaler Engineer or in a similar role within cloud security
- Strong foundation in network security principles including Zero Trust architecture
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services (AWS OR Azure OR Google Cloud)
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting while maintaining communication and upholding collaborative team dynamics
- Proficient in creating and managing security policies and protocols
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Cybersecurity or a related field or equivalent work experience
