Job Description
Job Title: Urologist $250/Hour On-Call Pay
Location:
Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center
1 Medical Center Drive
Clarksburg WV 26301
Compensation:
Base Rate: $250/hour
On-Call Pay:
Weeknights (Mon Fri): $500/night
Weekends (Sat Mon): $2000/weekend
Callback Rate: $250/hour
Travel Reimbursements: Lodging per diem and rental car covered
Schedule:
Clinic Hours: Monday Friday 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
On-Call:
Weeknights: 4:00 PM 7:30 AM (approx. 10 nights/month)
Weekends: Sat 7:30 AM Mon 7:30 AM (approx. 1 weekend/month)
Call Requirements:
Phone availability within 15 minutes
On-site presence within 60 minutes if needed
Job Description:
Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urologist to provide high-quality comprehensive urologic care-including clinical and surgical services-at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg WV. Work in a mission-driven stable federal healthcare environment serving our nations Veterans.
Responsibilities:
Provide general and surgical urology care (clinic OR)
Perform consultations evaluations and follow-up visits
Manage urgent and emergent urologic conditions
Document care using VA EMR systems (CPRS/VistA)
Comply with VA safety quality and credentialing standards
Participate in team meetings and mandatory training
Requirements:
MD or DO from an accredited institution
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
Active unrestricted license in any U.S. state
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
COVID-19 vaccination (per VHA Directive 1193.01)
Must complete VA credentialing and onboarding
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous VA or government healthcare experience
Proven clinical and surgical proficiency
Strong team collaboration and independent decision-making skills
