Summary:
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team for a 13-week travel contract. The ideal candidate must have experience working with GE 1.5T Mobile units and a strong background in both neuro and musculoskeletal imaging. This assignment is based in a community hospital setting with some Trauma Level I exposure. Candidates must be self-reliant and able to support a busy caseload with limited supervision.

• Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures including head spine musculoskeletal and abdominal imaging.

• Operate GE 1.5T mobile scanners and use PACS systems for imaging review and data management.

• Assist in patient preparation positioning and the administration of contrast agents as needed.

• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to ensure high-quality diagnostic outcomes.

• Maintain patient safety protocols and infection prevention standards.

• Start peripheral IVs when necessary and adhere to all clinical guidelines.

• Handle image post-processing using techniques such as ADC mapping MIP subtraction imaging and more.

• Must have experience with GE 1.5T Mobile MRI units

• Weekend shifts may be required

• Floating between like units may be required

• Block scheduling is not guaranteed

• On-call requirements to be discussed

• Start date: ASAP

• RTO must be included at time of submission

• Local candidates accepted

• Pending license not accepted

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year MRI experience

• Experience in community hospital setting required

• Trauma Level I experience preferred

• Travel experience not required

License/Certifications:

• ARRT (R) Preferred

• ARRT Advanced MRI Certification Preferred

• BLS (AHA) Required

Imaging Proficiency:

• Head & Neck: Brain Face/soft tissue neck

• Spine: Cervical Lumbar Thoracic

• Chest & Abdomen: Chest Abdomen Male/Female Pelvis

• Musculoskeletal: Hip Pelvis Knee Shoulder

Special Imaging Procedures:

• CINE (CSF flow studies)

• Diffusion & Perfusion Imaging

• Gradient Echo Spin Echo

• T1 & T2 Weighted Imaging

• Surface Coils Subtraction Imaging

• MIP MRP Apparent Diffusion Coefficient Mapping

• Peripheral MR Angiography

Equipment Used:

• GE (1.5T mobile)

• PACS

Professional Skills:

• IV start skills

• Use and administration of contrast media

• Familiarity with ER workflow and acute settings
