Power BI Crystal Reports
Location: 75 Langley Drive Ste. 1W201 Lawrenceville GA 30046
Work Type: On-Site
Preferred Candidates: Local to GA or from EST/CST Time Zones
Duration: 6 Weeks
Work Hours: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
After-Hours Availability: Emergency support only during weekends and holidays
Position Overview:
Gwinnett County is seeking a Microsoft Power BI and Crystal Reports Specialist to provide expert-level support and development services for business intelligence reporting. This role requires maintaining and supporting existing Power BI dashboards and Crystal Reports as well as developing new custom data models and reports. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver actionable business insights and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report Development:Design develop and deploy custom reports and dashboards using Power BI and Crystal Reports.
- Requirement Gathering:Collaborate with stakeholders to gather BI requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Data Modeling:Build data models and establish connections with multiple data sources including:
- SQL Server
- Oracle
- SAP BW
- Salesforce
- Aumentum Tax System
- SharePoint
- Support & Maintenance:Provide technical support for existing Power BI reports and dashboards troubleshoot issues and apply necessary enhancements.
- Best Practices & Optimization:Adhere to development standards including data modeling security performance and visual design optimization.
- Collaboration:Work cross-functionally with developers analysts and project managers to ensure successful delivery.
- User Training & Documentation:Train and support end-users on the effective use of Power BI and Crystal Reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 35 years of experience with Power BI development
- 5 years of experience designing and maintaining Crystal Reports
- Strong understanding of data structures and reporting principles
- Proficiency in:
- Power BI Desktop & Power BI Report Builder
- DAX formulas and Power Query
- SQL and report writing
- Crystal Reports design
- Experience with integrating multiple data sources such as SQL Server Oracle SAP BW SharePoint and Salesforce
- Experience developing semantic models and complex queries
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft BI Stack: SSAS SSRS SSIS
- Crystal Reports Certification or similar credentials
- Experience embedding Crystal Reports using the .NET SDK
- Familiarity with scripting/programming and UI/UX principles
- Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team
