Job Description
Location: Onsite at our Privia Imaging Center (7900 Fannin St. Ste. 1500 Houston TX 77054)
Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Mammography Services the Mammography Technologist is responsible for the services at The Breast & Imaging Center to include areas of mammography and/or bone densitometry; exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics; provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Essential Job Duties:
Prepare patients for breast imaging procedures by accurately assessing patients needs and providing patient education.
Operates breast imaging equipment for data acquisition reconstruction of images documentations of images and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal images.
Prepare patients films for interpretation by a radiologist.
Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
Practices radiation safety measures.
Follow HIPAA guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Education/Certificate/License:
Associate degree or radiologic graduate of an accredited radiology program
ARRT registered and Certified as a Medical Radiologic Technologist
Compensation range for this vacancy is based on years of experience education and location.
Hourly range for this vacancy is $34 to $39 per hour
