Job Description
As a Primary Engineer working with the Transmissions team your impact will be in providing engineering design and technical support in the development of transmission and substation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertaking primary design for substations and terminal stations to a high technical standard
- Develop scopes and specifications for design and construction
- Manage outcomes within budget and project programme constraints whilst maintaining high levels of technical performance
- Review work as part of the peer review process from time to time as may be required
- Effectively manage the detail design from concept through to final design implementation to agreed scope quality time frames and budgets
- Identify and manage scope variations according to client and/or project requirements
- Review and assess brownfield and greenfield sites
Qualifications :
To be successful in this opportunity you will ideally have a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience with demonstrated experience on electrical utilities projects. In addition you will also have:
- An Electrical Engineering Degree (or equivalent)
- NER high desired motivated and willing to work toward CPEng status
- Relevant work rights to live and work full-time in Australia
- Detailed technical knowledge and experience in electricity networks engineering
- Demonstrated experience with primary design in electricity substations engineering project delivery and/or design roles
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microstation
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders at all levels
