As part of our cross-functional agile Software Team you will develop innovative and interactive software solutions for our clinical & GMP instrument portfolio. The Team will be responsible for one of our key biomedical instruments. With your in-depth experience you will also provide guidance to junior team members and enhance our development processes. You will make a significant contribution to ensuring that the team continues to improve.
Your tasks:
- Design specify implement and integrate modern software solutions to provide our research and clinical customers with state-of-the-art technology and novel solutions.
- Write software in C and Qt apply unit testing and conduct peer reviews to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Oversee the application software layers of one of our key instruments and take charge of maintaining and developing them.
- Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration between software and clinical instruments.
- Participate in the creation of technical documentation and assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues related to software and hardware interactions.
Qualifications :
Your profile:
- Degree in computer science or comparable qualification with professional experience in C and Qt including multithreading UI widgets and hardware interaction. Clean code is second nature to you.
- Many years of experience in software development in C in different projects; strong understanding of the existing software layers with skills in error analysis system improvement and maintaining/extending existing software.
- Agile mindset solution-oriented and comfortable working in an international environment with complex systems.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge in German would be a plus.
- The ability to take team members with you and guide them if necessary.
- Experience in cell processing and knowledge of software requirements for cell processing systems with domain-specific knowledge in biotechnology or medical devices would be preferred but is not mandatory.
- Ideally familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) CI/CD pipelines and regulatory standards for medical software development (e.g. IEC 62304 ISO 13485).
