Job Description

St. Thomas the Apostle School and St. Marys Academy two vibrant and faith-filled Catholic elementary schools in Western Massachusetts are seeking a passionate and talented Music Teacher to join our school communities for theschool year. This part-time position (4 days/week) will be shared between the two schools. Position Summary: The Music Teacher will be responsible for providing engaging and developmentally appropriate music instruction to students in Preschool through Grade 6 as well as leading school-wide musical programs including the annual Christmas Program and Spring Shows at each school. Responsibilities Include: Teach general music classes to students in Preschool through Grade 6 Plan and lead two annual school-wide performances: a Christmas Program and a Spring Show Incorporate a variety of teaching methods instruments and movement activities Collaborate with faculty and administration Foster an appreciation of music in a nurturing and faith-based environment Travel between the two school sites as scheduled Qualifications: Bachelors degree in music education or related field Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred Strong organizational communication and performance skills Schedule: This is a 4-day per week position shared between two schools. Specific scheduling will be coordinated based on school needs and candidate availability.
