The Emory University Department of Emergency Medicine offers a wide variety of postgraduate Fellowship training opportunities including Academic Administrative and Ultrasound Fellowships. All physicians are expected to provide medical care to patients in a hospital emergency department including examining evaluating and treating patients with emergent medical conditions illnesses or injuries.
Key Responsibilities (non-program specific):
Fellowship Evaluation:
Successful completion of coursework will be considered the minimal requirement for completion of the didactic component of the first two years of the program. The participants performance will be formally reviewed by the fellows mentor as well as faculty advisors from both within and outside the Department of Emergency Medicine.
The clinical performance will be evaluated by the Emergency Department Medical Director/Service Chief of the fellows base hospital and reviewed by the Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine. Written feedback will include evaluations by all training physicians and students who were mentored by the fellow.
NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
