Job Summary:
Depending on the successful applicants background and qualifications this can be either a tenure-track position or a term (professional lecturer) position in operations management.
We are seeking a faculty member able to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in operations supply chain analytics and related subjects. Tenure-track faculty are expected to maintain a robust program of disciplinary research resulting in peer-reviewed publications. Term faculty are not required to conduct research but are expected to maintain close ties to their profession. All faculty also participate in the life of the School and its activities including involvement in committee work student advising and support and community outreach activities. The School of Management will be accepting applications immediately for the position as an Assistant Professor (or Professional Lecturer) for the Spring 2026 semester. The successful candidate could alternatively opt to start the position in the Fall 2026 semester.
We welcome candidates who will place a strong emphasis on quality teaching in a small classroom setting. Our typical class size is fewer than 25 students. The expected course load for our tenure-track faculty is 21 credits typically distributed as a 3:4 course load. Term faculty teach 24 credits per year (4:4 load).
Minimum Qualifications:
Tenure-track faculty: Terminal degree in operations management or closely related field (Ph.D. or A.B.D. with projected completion by December 2026). Professional experience is also highly desirable.
Term faculty: Masters degree or higher in business analytics engineering or closely related field with professional experience related to operations management and related fields.
Essential Functions:
Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. Maintaining an active research agenda leading to peer-reviewed publications (tenure-track faculty) or active efforts to maintain and enhance professional qualifications (term faculty). Advising students taking part in service activities and serving on committees as needed.
