Job Description

My Place Hotel is seeking a motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor:

  • Maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness in guest rooms and all areas of the hotel.
  • Having a positive friendly guest-service focused attitude when responding to or interacting with guests.

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring guest satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the hotel. This individual will supervise train and support housekeeping staff inspect rooms and public areas and assist in managing housekeeping operations including room cleaning to ensure efficiency and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist GM in administrative tasks such as schedules timekeeping and supply logs.
  • Supervise and educate housekeeping staff.

  • Assign daily room assignments and ensure timely completion of tasks.

  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas for cleanliness maintenance and compliance with hotel standards.

  • Clean guest rooms and public areas as needed to support the team fill staffing gaps or meet service expectations.

  • Train support and motivate staff reinforcing high standards of performance and guest service.

  • Address and resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.

  • Monitor inventory and request supplies as necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with all health safety and sanitation regulations.

  • Collaborate with other departments especially front desk and maintenance to ensure guest rooms are ready and in excellent condition.

Qualifications:

  • Prior housekeeping supervisory experience in a hotel or hospitality setting.

  • Must be willing and physically able to clean guest rooms and public areas when needed.

  • Strong communication leadership and organizational skills.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with housekeeping software/systems preferred.

  • English required; bilingual skills a plus.
