Transplant Psychologist

Description

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine andthe Emory Transplant Centerare seeking a licensed/licensed-eligibleclinical health psychologistto jointheTransplant Behavioral Health program.

Primary roles include (1) pre- andpost- surgical assessment treatment planning and implementation of briefhealth psychologyinterventions for solid organ transplant candidates and recipients (inpatient and outpatient); (2) attendance in team meetings and selection conferences; (3) conducting individual and group therapy services for transplant candidates and recipients;(4) educating and training staff and supervising and teaching within the psychiatry residency and psychology training programs (5) participating in research or quality improvement activities and (6) contributing to the department and broader institution through service.

Applicants must have a doctorate in clinical psychology from an APA accredited graduate program an APA accredited internship and at least one-year supervised postdoctoral training. Applicants with administrative competencies in addition to clinical research and teaching expertise are encouraged to apply. Applications will be reviewed beginning immediately and will be accepted and reviewed until the position is filled. Experience with liver transplant and/or addiction populations is preferred.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
