Job Description
Film Streams Theater Staff members collaborate with front-of-house and administrative teams to ensure smooth daily operations at both the Ruth Sokolof Theater and Dundee Theater. Shifts may be assigned at either location requiring familiarity with both venues.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming experience for patrons take orders accurately and answer menu-related questions.
- Operate concession areas including:
- Preparing items according to standard procedures.
- Ensuring proper food handling and sanitation.
- Cleaning counters floors and equipment.
- Stocking items and managing inventory using the first-in first-out method.
- Accurately handle cash and process multiple payment methods following Film Streams standards.
- Use downtime efficiently by completing shift responsibilities cleaning and checking task lists.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards across venues including auditoriums concessions lobbies restrooms and offices.
- Deliver friendly efficient service to enhance the patron experience.
- Develop knowledge of:
- Membership levels and benefits.
- Organizational policies and procedures.
- Current and upcoming film programming to support Film Streams mission.
- Understand test and assist patrons with ADA/accessibility devices.
- Collaborate with Lolas Caf staff at the Dundee Theater to maintain shared spaces and provide excellent service.
- Address patron inquiries and concerns resolving issues or escalating as needed.
- Ensure facilities remain safe and in good repair.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding:
- Box office concessions event flow and building maintenance concerns.
- Patron inquiries and concerns.
- Staffing needs for special circumstances.
- Break coordination and downtime management.
- Supply and concessions inventory needs.
- Film presentation issues (sound picture temperature etc.).
- Support and oversee volunteers:
- Welcome and orient new volunteers.
- Monitor volunteer activity and address any concerns with the manager on duty.
- Work closely with coworkers and supervisors to ensure seamless theater operations.
- Availability for evenings weekends and holidays is required.
Qualifications
- Must be legally permitted to serve alcohol in Nebraska.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment.
- Ability to stand stoop and bend for extended periods.
- Willingness to follow food safety regulations.

Compensation
- Part-time hourly position starting at $15/hour with increased pay rate on holidays.
